SACMI SHANGHAI is a subsidiary of the SACMI Group. Sacmi Imola, the mother company, was founded in 1919 and is located in Imola, Italy. The SACMI Group specializes in the production and sale of turnkey plants for the ceramics and packaging industries and is expanding in the plastics and processing businesses. In 2004 the Sacmi Group had a total yearly turnover of about € 1,100 million worldwide.
In order to facilitate the further expansion into the Chinese ceramic and packaging industries, another of our company has been strategically placed in the hottest spot in China. SACMI (Shanghai) Machinery Trading Company Limited obtained its business license in 2002 and is now fully operating its warehouse in the Free Trade Zone of Wai Gao Qiao in the Shanghai Municipality whilst its liaison sales office is in the city center.

The telling advantage of such a move is to be closer to our Asian clientele so as to provide: flexible after sales and technical service; a more effective chain of distribution system; as well as to consolidate our standing in the ceramic industry and further strengthen our packaging team in the region. Being in the Free Trade Zone entitles SACMI to enjoy several administrative and financial advantages.

Our warehouse is currently 1000 sq.m. and it houses two kinds of spare parts: one for the production of ceramic ware, especially tiles in the construction industry and the other, for the production of caps, corks for the packaging industry. The warehouse’s office also handles national and international trade. The office in the city center is in-charge of sales of packaging machinery specifically for caps and closures, labeling and filling. We are currently staffed with about 35 personnel in both locations and are look set to grow fast in the near future.
